ESA-C’s 12th biennial conference from May 9th to 11th in Toronto, Canada, came up with a panel specifically dedicated to political risk issues. Hannes Meissner and Johannes Leitner presented their paper on “Political Risks back in the core? How European companies manage the new rise of political risks.” and discussed interim results generated in the STRATOS project.
Albeit intensive discussions on the paper, a core message is that the qualitative analysis highlights the need for more professionalized political risk management among Austrian based companies, considering the rise of political risks in global trade.
