STRATOS initiates Major Survey on Political Risk Management
In spring 2018, the STRATOS project team conducts a survey among multinational corporations (MNCs) with headquarters in Austria and their internationally located subsidiaries.
The joint endeavor of the Competence Center for Black Sea Region Studies at the University of Applied Sciences BFI Vienna (FH BFI Wien) and the Institute for International Business at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) aims at unveiling current practices of strategic political risk management in the increasingly unstable context for global businesses. The extensive survey will generate empirical insights on the extent to which MNCs apply and integrate strategic political risk management instruments into their corporate structures, and how they manage political risks in different environments.
STRATOS is also supported by the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, the Österreichische Kontrollbank, the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies and is co-financed by the MA 23 of the City of Vienna.
